expect the unexpected.

i love abstract collage!

Why do I love abstract collage?

Because it has no real rules or limits. My curiosity is free to roam wherever it wants.

For example - who said an abstract collage has to be something cut & pasted?

Why couldn't it be folded?

Why couldn't the paper be ripped - not cut?

Why couldn't we add raised surfaces - creating a 3D collage?

Why couldn't we use personal photos as collage material?

AND poke holes in it?

We always follow our curiosity. A 'what if we..' thread of inquiry.

This leads to unexpected detours ALWAYS popping up, continually directing us to things we hadn't thought to try before.

So we NEVER plan anything. We just explore possibilities. Endless possibilities!

It's an intentional adventure nowhere - specific. Yet it somehow takes us everywhere we like to go, learning more about ourselves & our creative capabilities.

We will always hand make abstract collages because we love the tradition of hand making - & everything it stands for.

It feels GOOD to use our hands. It connects us to what we're making, so we consistently follow that thread.

Every choice we make is only one of so many that's possible, & it's these choices , our antics, that cause a kind of alchemy, where change happens unexpectedly.

It's bonkers, unconventional, messy, & at times, chaotic.

But always surprising. Always liberating.

It's a love affair for sure.

We're definitely committed to it.

But we're also very curious.

Just what are we creatively capable of?

Let's find out!
