I love how colour FEELS!
I'm attracted to it like a bee to a flower.
But I don't really know what colours / colour combinations I truthfully love to use.
My abstract collages are dictated by the colours I find in magazines, or my photos.
But I want to be more confident & intentional about putting colours together in my abstract collections.
So I need to spend more time playing with it, exploring it.
I want to build a bank of experience with colour, that I can draw on in future creative projects.
Be more intentional about the colours I use, & take my colour skills up a notch!
Colour is key to creating strong, cohesive abstract collections, with a feeling of solidarity.
So every week, for the entire duration of 2025, I've committed to digitally picking colours out of photos or magazine pages that I'm attracted to.
I'm curious to discover what colour combinations are in them!
I'll digitally pick out colours from the image, then choose a swatch of colours as the starting point for some digital pattern play.
Colour Love #1
I love the boldness of the colours I found in my photo of my christmas breakfast in 2024 (above)
For no reason at all, I decided to work with circles!
This is the pattern play outcome I'm happy with.
It feels playful xxx
